PACIFIC OCEAN (July 12, 2022) Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022 military forces from Australia, Canada, Malaysia and the U.S., fired upon and sunk the decommissioned ex-USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60), July 12, during a sinking exercise (SINKEX) to gain proficiency in tactics, targeting and live firing against a surface target at sea. SINKEX vessels are put through a certified cleaning process, including removing all environmentally harmful material including trash, floatable material, mercury, fluorocarbon and petroleum. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29-Aug 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. The Rim of the Pacific Exercise, is the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise. RIMPAC is held biennially during June and July of even-numbered years from Honolulu, Hawaii. It is hosted and administered by the United States Navy's Pacific Fleet, headquartered at Pearl Harbor, in conjunction with the Marine Corps, the Coast Guard, and Hawaii National Guard forces under the control of the Governor of Hawaii. The US invites military forces from the Pacific Rim and beyond to participate. With RIMPAC the United States Pacific Command seeks to enhance interoperability between Pacific Rim armed forces, ostensibly as a means of promoting stability in the region to the benefit of all participating nations. Described by the US Navy as a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans. В One Military Camp существует так называемый сюжет, когда кто-то не совсем хороший захватил весь мир и наш лагерь - последний оплот сопротивления. Возможности тренировки солдат и графика в One Military Camp впечатляют сразу. Сейчас One Military Camp находится в раннем доступе и уже подтверждён Русский язык. Помимо кампании в One Military Camp будет введён режим песочницы, но пока точных сроков нет. The relevant, realistic training syllabus included amphibious operations, gunnery, missile, anti-submarine, and air defense exercises, as well as military medicine, humanitarian assistance and disaster response, counter-piracy, mine clearance operations, explosive ordnance disposal, and diving and salvage operations. 💪 A few of the first-time achievements included: 🚁 Two U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey aircraft embarked in Australian amphibious ship HMAS Canberra for the whole duration of the exercise ⛽ While participating in RIMPAC for the first time, HMNZS Aotearoa conducted numerous Replenishment at Sea operations with partner nations including France, Australia, Canada, Malaysia and the U.S. 🚀 Royal Malaysian Ship KD Leskir (F26) conducted their first live missile firing outside Malaysian waters. 🤖 First embedded use of the MQ-9A and MQ-9B unmanned aerial vehicles, and the unmanned surface vessels Nomad, Ranger, Sea Hawk and Sea Hunter; with data and knowledge sharing amongst 13 countries, including Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Peru, India, France, Chile, Mexico, Singapore and Indonesia. 🪖 Nine nations participated in the RIMPAC Amphibious Assault (Australia, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Tonga and U.S.). The Rim of the Pacific Exercise (Ex #RIMPAC 2022) is held this year from 29 Jun to 4 Aug. A total of 38 ships, 4 submarines, over 170 aircraft, and approximately 25,000 personnel from 26 nations, are taking part in the ongoing exercise held in the waters off Hawaii. The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) deployed a Formidable-class frigate, RSS Intrepid, to participate in the exercise and is reprising its role of Sea Combat Commander to lead and direct the actions of eight warships from seven nations, within the task force, in complex and multi-dimensional warfare missions. RSS Intrepid has also successfully fired a live Aster surface-to-air missile at a high-speed target. Catch the action here!
