I set shit on fire when I find it to be flammable- Couldn't take the shit talking- That's when I knew that I had to go I'm mad & so, I'm cryin' every night when I'm relaxing Coz' thought that I was stronger Hate the way that I'm reacting I miss you & I can't even find a fucken reason Besides the fact I love you & witchu' I can't breathe I ain't eating I ain't smoking I've been drinking- Help me cope with knowing me & you just shouldn't be together & I'm growing Weeds- Dandelions You see? I ain't smiling Been losing hella weight Hesitate keepin' silent I wanna fucken scream! I know that missed I guess I just never thought that it would end like this [Chorus x2] One syllable. Love. Kill 'em all I'm gullible. Your lullaby sucks so bad I gave you all my trust. All my trust I gave to you Feel for the things I couldn't see But now I see through you I knew you was hidin' shit But chu'd never admit it All the red flags been waving at me Tell me that I'm trippin' When I'm dippin' through the evidence- Complain about your privacy It's in my fucken face- How could you still fucken lie to me? I tried to keep calm But I feel it in my guts that you fucken other bitches When you callin' me a "slut" I used to interrupt But eventually I'd just take it & I felt so ugly 'bout myself whenever I'd be naked A mistake & I swear to god I will never it Again coz' I know that if I built it You would break it Wide awake & I can't sleep I feel stupid So fucken mad Understand going through an Episode of letting go- It's tragic Coz' I thought I had his love. But dick I never even had it [Chorus x2] One syllable. Love. Kill 'em all I'm gullible. Your lullaby sucks so bad I gave you all my heart, all my heart I gave to you. Fell for the things I couldn't see But now I see through you & do you know you killed my self esteem? I used to be conceded now I see what's wrong with me Boy, remember you told me you was "Outta my league?" Please! My ex- Boyfriend is way finer & we both know the truth & ain't nothin' to be proven- If you really loved me you wouldn't have put me through it You told me you "downgraded" when you started datin' me Accusin' me of suckin' dick just to get a little tweak Now in see what I'm worth- I remember just how beautiful I am inside & out & now I see what isn't mutual I used to go to you whenever I felt depressed But I realize now you're the one that caused the stress! & I guess I forgive you coz' the tears are coming slower But I promise I'mma be the one girl you never get over! In this lesson, you can learn about syllables and stress in English. Do you know what stress means? It’s one of the most important pronunciation points in English. When you speak English, do other people find it difficult to understand what you’re saying? If so, you might not be using stress correctly. Pronouncing words with the correct stress can make a big difference to your English: your English will immediately sound clearer and more natural. NOTE: there is an error at 1:41 – the stress marker in the IPA transcription of 'banana' should be on the 2nd syllable, rather than the 1st: /bə'nɑːnə/. Continue working on your pronunciation, and get feedback from a certified English teacher. Try a lesson today: 🤍 See the full version of this lesson on our website: 🤍 Contents: 1. "One-Syllable Words," written by Carolyn Arends and Connie Harrington. From the project THIS MUCH I UNDERSTAND - learn more at: 🤍 "Long words go rattling by us like long railway trains. We know they are carrying thousands who are too tired or too indolent to walk and think for themselves. It is good exercise to try for once in a way to express any opinion one holds in words of one syllable. . . . The long words are not the hard words, it is the short words that are hard. There is much more metaphysical subtlety in the word 'damn' than in the word 'degeneration.'" (Orthodoxy, GK Chesterton, Image Books Edition, 2001; p. 129-130)

Thousands of parents and educators are turning to the kids’ learning app that makes real learning truly fun. Try Kids Academy with 3-day FREE TRIAL! 🤍 What is a Syllable? | Open and Closed Syllables | Kids Academy There are total of 6 types of syllables out there and if you are about to start teaching your little one about syllables then we’d recommend you to start with the open syllables and the closed syllables. It’s just that these are easier to understand and your kid will learn quite fast. Not only this, in fact, after learning these two types, your kid will be able to speak a hundred different words. For starters, you need to tell your children what is a syllable. It basically is a unit of pronunciation that comes with a single vowel only. For more details, you can refer to the internet and watch videos on Youtube that tell everything you need to know about a syllable. Open Syllables: In an open syllable, nothing comes after the vowel and the word ends right at the vowel. For example, the word “he” is an open syllable as nothing is coming after the vowel “e”. Also, in this case, the vowel is long. Closed Syllables: In this case, there comes a consonant after the vowel. In a nutshell, when we talk about a closed syllable, know that the vowel is closed with a consonant in the end. For example, there’s the word “cap” and “men”. You can see that in both these words the vowel is closed with the consonant “p” and “n”. We hope you now understand the difference between both types. So, teach your kids about these two types and then move towards the other ones so that they can have a better understanding of what syllables are. The wiser thing to do would be to watch Youtube videos and teach your children about vowels and syllables etc from there because that way, they will pick things up quicker. Vowels and consonants are two types of letters in the English alphabet. A vowel sound is created when air flows smoothly, without interruption, through the throat and mouth. Different vowel sounds are produced as a speaker changes the shape and placement of articulators (parts of the throat and mouth). In contrast, consonant sounds happen when the flow of air is obstructed or interrupted. If this sounds confusing, try making the “p” sound and the “k” sound. You will notice that in creating the sound you have manipulated your mouth and tongue to briefly interrupt airflow from your throat. Consonant sounds have a distinct beginning and end, while vowel sounds flow. The pronunciation of each vowel is determined by the position of the vowel in a syllable, and by the letters that follow it. Vowel sounds can be short, long, or silent. Short Vowels If a word contains only one vowel, and that vowel appears in the middle of the word, the vowel is usually pronounced as a short vowel. This is especially true if the word is very short. Examples of short vowels in one-syllable words include the following: At Bat Mat Bet Wet Led Red Hit Fix Rob Lot Cup But This rule can also apply to one-syllable words that are a bit longer: Rant Chant Slept Fled Chip Strip Flop Chug When a short word with one vowel ends in s, l, or f, the end consonant is doubled, as in: Bill Sell Miss Pass Jiff Cuff #coachfrancisvideocenter 🤍learnwithcoachfrancis #reading
